A Message from Our Head of School
I am proud to have the opportunity to be Head of School at Chaucer Infants and Nursery School. I am an Infant teacher to my core, and truly believe in the joys of learning through play and harnessing the natural curiosity of young children.
Children's infant education is the bedrock of their future education. It is here they learn key skills for learning, such as language and social skills, and foster a life-long love of learning. We are proud of our school, our wonderful community and being a part of the Embark family of school.
Everything we do in school is underpinned by our values, and 'Geoffrey' our BEAR helps us remember them.
At Chaucer everybody will Belong, Enjoy, Aim high and respect.
Our school has dedicated and caring staff who create an environment that is nurturing and engaging where all children are encouraged to develop a love of learning and to achieve the highest standards in all that they do.
At Chaucer Infant and Nursery School everyone works hard to ensure that the children are safe, secure and part of a friendly and caring community. All are welcome in our family.
We want our children to be happy and excited about coming to school to learn and to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding across a broad curriculum. We are lucky to have such a big and beautiful site with lots of space to learn and explore. We particularly love our Forest School Area!
We welcome parents into school and value their contribution because we believe that working together in partnership brings about the greatest success for children.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find any information you are looking for.
Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
