Anti-Bullying

At Chaucer Infants and Nursery school everyone will Belong, Enjoy, Aim High and Respect.

Our school community is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our pupils, so they feel they belong and are respected, and they can learn in a secure atmosphere.

Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at our school. If bullying does occur, all pupils should be able to tell someone and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively.

When an allegation of bullying is made, a member of staff will investigate this and write down their findings on a recording form. These forms are retained by the head of school, so that patterns of behaviour can be identified and, if necessary, parents are contacted and relevant support or intervention put in place for both victims and perpetrators.

Importantly, we ask that if parents suspect bullying or unkind behaviour has taken place, that they contact school as soon as possible so staff can make the relevant enquiries.
