Home Learning Information
Learning provision for when children are absent from school due to a COVID-19 related issue
If your child is absent from school due to a COVID-19 related issue that hasn’t made them ill then it is massively important that they keep learning whilst they are home. Whilst we are unable to provide them with exactly the same experience that they would have in school we have planned for them to keep on learning many of the same things their class will be. As you read through the information you will see that we have organised learning based into 3 Tiers. Tier 1 is for children who are absent for a few days awaiting a test result or for children who have to self-isolate for up to 10 days, whilst the rest of the bubble is still open. Tier 2 is for when the whole bubble closes and Tier 3 work will be issued in the event of a more serious event. Initially it will follow a similar process as that for Tier 2 but will be adapted as the situation becomes clearer and will involve more interaction with your child’s teacher.
Tier 1:
For children absent from school whilst awaiting a test result OR being directed to self-isolate following official notification of a positive result OR when directed to self-isolate by Track and Trace due to close contact with a confirmed case OR in case of partial bubble closure where teachers are still teaching classes.
Children should complete:

- Twice a week practise reading and writing words from the common exception word list and/or the high frequency word list
