Sickness and diarrhoea
Chaucer school policy for sickness and diarrhoea states, all children should stay away from school for 48 hours after the last time they were sick or had a bout of diarrhoea. Young children are not the best at hygiene procedures. Hands must be washed thoroughly after the toilet has been used. Tummy bug bacteria can be passed very easily from person to person and we need to make sure the bacteria has gone before children come back to school and pass it to other children and staff.
